Food and Nutrition Week.

Healthy kids are happy kids :). Our kindergartners learned all about healthy food and how to make healthy food choices. We also discussed the four food groups.  They had so much fun making their own healthy lunch. The importance of having a variety of foods from the four major foods was emphasized. They learnt that each food group supplies important nutrients, including vitamins and minerals. They got to wear the chef’s hat and have fun cutting various vegetables and finally to eat the yummy food they prepared!
