Westfall Academy Reopening Plan

Dear Westfall Families, Greetings/ As-salam Alaikum

We hope this email finds you well.

Our reopening plan was submitted to the New York State Department of Health on July 31. We still need to submit this plan to the New York State Department of Education this week. As you know, schools need to wait for governor Cuomos’s decision in the coming week whether or not New York State schools can open in the fall.

Our plan is to provide our students with daily Distanced Learning M-F regular school hours due to small classes size. If parents are not planning to have their child attend school in this model, we will be providing a remote program to the best of our ability. A survey will be sent out.

We will continue to use our Virtual Learning should schools not be allowed to reopen. Plans will include using Google Classrooms and face-to-face remote meetings with students. More details of our plan can be found in the attachment. Please do not hesitate to reach out should you have any questions/concerns/recommendations.

Thank you for your commitment, support, and patience in this process. We will keep working on finding the best ways to keep our students, staff, and parents safe. Safety is our first priority. We, at Westfall Academy, are committed to provide your child with the best educational experience, Insha’Allah.

Sincerely,

Westfall Academy
